Ear-budded, eye-flowered.

Ear-budded, eye-flowered.

Holy alchemy of flesh and symbols. Fictional anatomy that works on the level of the soul. This creature has no heart - only a square in its body.

In it - a carved star.

The head rests on a wing, a peony bud sprouts from the forehead.

The ear is a shell.

She doesn't scream. She hears. She sprouts. Her back

turns into a body, the body - into hips, and on both sides of the hips -

petals from which eyes look out.

Ten eyes. And all see gently.

This is a painting about how form is born in absence.

About vision that stretches downwards.

And about a bud that begins directly from thought.
