Sunraybreasted. Self-assembled.

The gaze leaves the face, giving way to wings that

spread from the nose as if breath has taken on its own form. Beneath

the dark headpiece, only the lips are silent – the only feature that does not

seek to change.

One ear grows into an intricate shape with a heavy earring,

the other sprouts a sharp horn that reaches towards a tail born from

the fingertips of a hand growing directly from the chest.

At the center of the body, only half of the chest remains. Inside it,

a sharp sun glows, from which a thick yellow ray erupts

and touches the cheekbone, as if light remembers the way to its own face.

Two wings wrap around the neck, joining it in a silent ornament.

Below, the body transitions into an armored form, from which a leg grows with

an eye hidden in the foot. It rises to the ear not as a step, but as

a gesture – a quiet touch of the creature to itself.

Here, light does not illuminate the body. It gathers it together.
