The Creature That Puts Stars into Its Head
The creature’s head hangs suspended in space, as though it were the centre of gravity for all the strange growths surrounding it. A third eye slowly grows into its right ear - another way of seeing the world, uninvited yet accepted.
The creature has no arms. Instead, wings unfold from its shoulders, closing beneath the head and the emptiness that replaces the torso into a single large pearl.
From one wing grow sharp protrusions bearing two eyes and a slender tail, like thoughts longing to break free.
In this image, the creature seems to be filling its own head with stars - painful, luminous, necessary.
